Anxiety and Stress Therapy for Women in North Carolina and New York
Therapy can look different for every woman.
You may come to therapy because you're struggling with something specific, or because several parts of life have become difficult at the same time. You may be dealing with anxiety or stress, infertility, grief, changes in a relationship, or finding your way through a new stage of life. And sometimes, you simply know you'd like things to feel different.
I provide both individual and relationship therapy, with an approach that is personal to you and what is happening in your life. We'll talk about what's working, what's not, the patterns you may be noticing, and the things you would like to understand or change.
There isn't one right reason to come to therapy.
What matters is what brings you here.
Individual Therapy
Personalized, one-on-one therapy focused on the concerns that are most important to you. Together, we’ll identify what’s getting in the way, build on your strengths, and work toward meaningful change.
Therapy may involve understanding patterns that have developed over time, learning new ways to manage difficult thoughts and emotions, navigating relationships and life transitions, or finding practical strategies for challenges you’re facing right now. My approach is collaborative and active - I’ll listen, ask questions, offer perspective, and help you develop tools you can use beyond our sessions. Sometimes we’ll discuss hard topics, but I’ll be present and gently guide you through it.
Couples/Relationship Therapy
Even strong relationships can go through seasons of disconnection, conflict, or change. Couples therapy offers a place to slow things down, better understand what is happening in the relationship, and begin changing patterns that may be keeping you stuck.
Our work may focus on improving communication, navigating recurring conflict, rebuilding trust, strengthening emotional connection, or adjusting to changes within your relationship or family. Rather than deciding who is “right” or “wrong”, I help couples better understand one another, communicate more effectively and find healthier ways to move forward together.
Where You May Need Support
ANXIETY & STRESS
Do you worry, overthink, or put pressure on yourself to keep everything together until you’re exhausted? Therapy can help you slow things down. Together, we can understand what’s driving the anxiety and develop practical ways to feel calmer, more confident, and more in control.
FERTILITY & POSTPARTUM
Do you find yourself asking “this should be so easy… it happens for every other woman”?The journey toward motherhood doesn’t always unfold as expected. Fertility challenges, pregnancy, postpartum changes, and the transition into motherhood can bring complicated emotions that are difficult to talk about. You deserve a place where all of those feelings are welcome.
DEPRESSION & FEELING STUCK
Maybe you don’t feel “depressed”. Maybe you just feel exhausted, disconnected, or irritable. Or maybe you just don’t feel like yourself anymore. Sometimes depression doesn’t look like sadness. We can work together to understand what has changed and help you find your way toward more energy, meaning, and connection.
WOMEN’S ISSUES
Do you find yourself questioning who you are, what you want, or what now? Being a woman can mean navigating changing roles, expectations, relationships, and questions about who you are and what you want. Therapy offers a space to put yourself back into the picture and reconnect with the woman you’ve always been.
RELATIONSHIPS & PARENTING
Are you finding yourself stressed or frustrated with those you love? Relationships with partners, children, family, and friends can be some of our greatest sources of joy - and some of our greatest challenges. Therapy can help you navigate conflict, boundaries, family dynamics, and the pressure of caring for others, while still making room for yourself.
GRIEF & LOSS
“Will I ever heal from this?” Loss takes many forms, and there is no single way to move through it. Whether you are grieving a person, a relationship, a dream, or a chapter of your life, therapy can provide a supportive place to process what has changed, while finding a way forward that honors what mattered.
Therapy, Wherever You Feel Most Comfortable
Virtual therapy offers the same thoughtful, personalized care as meeting in person, with the added convenience of connecting from the comfort and privacy of your own space.
Whether you’re balancing work, parenting, physical limitations, or simply prefer the ease of meeting from home, secure HIPAA-compliant video sessions make it possible to prioritize your mental health without the stress of commuting or waiting rooms.
I provide virtual therapy to adults and couples residing in NY and NC in a warm, supportive space where meaningful healing and growth can begin.
